Autumn Fertilising Tips

Planting and General Garden

Let the change in season be a reminder to POPUL8 your entire garden, including your lawn. There are also plenty of options when it comes to planting in autumn, so give all new plantings the best start by preparing the soil with Seamungus, watering it in well with GOGO Juice. Both of these products are rich in seaweed and organic matter which will improve the soil’s water holding capacity, and most importantly, the plant’s ability to tolerate weather conditions.

Lawns and Non-Flowering Plants

An application Sudden Impact for Lawns is ideal during autumn to keep the lawn and non-flowering plants green and healthy, but if your lawn is looking stressed after the summer heat, rejuvenate it with a top dress of Seamungus Lawn and water in with POPUL8. Autumn is also great time to lay turf. Prepare the soil beforehand with Blade Runner or Seamungus Lawn to give the new roots the best soil environment to establish in. Water new turf monthly with GOGO Juice to aid its establishment and encourage strong growth.

Flowering Plants

Extend the flowering season of summer annuals with an application of Sudden Impact for Roses and water in with GOGO Juice to give them strength for a final flush of flowers. Keep an eye on your orchids during the warmer months and remember to reduce watering once the rains arrive. Feed in autumn with Strike Back for Orchids to promote flowering spikes.

Acid Loving

Keep acid loving plants such as Camellias, Rhododendrons and Azaleas well-watered throughout autumn, and feed with Kahoona to provide a balance nutrients for strong growth. The high levels of potassium within Kahoona will also strengthen the connection between the stem and flowers, reducing flower drop and giving the appearance of more blooms.

Natives

As the autumn rains arrive, give all natives a feed with Bush Tucker pellets or Advanced Biological Formula to help promote healthy new growth. Consider planting in autumn while the soil temperatures are warm and moisture is still available for strong root development and growth. Prepare the soil before planting with Seamungus, and water in well with GOGO Juice.

Vegetables, Fruit and Citrus

Give all your edibles a monthly dose of GOGO Juice to help them through any remaining summer heat waves. Feed vegetables, herbs and fruit with Gyganic for Veggies, Fruit and Citrus to encourage plenty of autumn growth. Start preparing your garden beds for autumn and winter vegetables by reconditioning the soil with a generous handful of Rapid Raiser or Rooster Booster. It is also a good idea to check your soil pH at this preparation stage and add Lime to neutralise the pH if needed.
