Warrandale Industries is a diverse landscape construction and greenlife maintenance company that challenges design, build ability and construction processes to deliver sustainable landscape solutions within commercial and government projects across Victoria.
Landscape Maintenance Manager, Warwick Arbuthnot has been with Warrandale Industries since 1999, now leading a team dedicated to producing positive outcomes for landscape maintenance clients.
His team trialled Bush Tucker after it was recommended by their trusted partners at K & B Adams Turf.
Three species of native trees including Eucalyptus siderloxylon, Eucalyptus ovata and Corymbia maculata which were planted in a high traffic area, were affected by powdery mildew with a secondary infection of sooty mould, but after the first application of Bush Tucker, positive turnaround was evident within four to six weeks.
“These results have now lead to a biological-inputs-first mentality, rather than relying on synthetic quick fix solutions,” says Warwick.
“In addition, after applying Bush Tucker quarterly on our native species, we’ve seen a noticeable reduction in the need for using systemic insecticide treatments to control pest and disease occurrences.
We are seeing outstanding natural growth results as a result of flexible movement in stakes and improved water efficiencies coupled with Neutrog’s Bush Tucker we are producing the best trees to date.”
Since this trial, Bush Tucker has formed a part of their install and seasonal maintenance programs for native trees throughout the Melbourne Metro and the north and south growth corridors.
